Senior Editor
Matthew is a graduate of Morehouse College and Georgetown University. He has worked as the assistant literary editor at The Nation. His own writing—about art, literature, and contemporary American life—has appeared in The Point, The Nation, The New Yorker, and The Baffler. Prior to joining The Appeal, Matthew was a fellow at the Leon Levy Center for Biography at CUNY, where he began working on a biography of the writer Albert Murray.
