Chris Geidner

Editorial Director and Senior Legal Analyst

Chris Geidner is a journalist who has been writing about legal issues for the past two decades. Most recently, he worked as the Senior Advisor for Law and Policy at The Justice Collaborative. Before that, he was the Supreme Court Correspondent and Legal Editor at BuzzFeed News, where he did extensive reporting on the death penalty and other criminal justice matters. His earlier coverage of the marriage equality movement led to his being named the Journalist of the Year by NLGJA, the association of LGBTQ journalists, in 2014. Prior to moving to Washington, DC, in 2009, he was a practicing lawyer in Ohio and, while in law school, editor of the Ohio State Law Journal.
