Communications Associate

Sarah is an organizer, writer, advocate, and media strategist. She comes to The Appeal after years as a leader in the gun violence prevention movement, working on a toss-up North Carolina congressional race, and consulting for over a dozen progressive and mission-driven organizations in strategic communications. Sarah’s writing has been featured in CNN, Glamour, Think Progress and MTV, and she has placed pieces for clients in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Out Magazine, USA Today, and more. She is a Truman Scholarship finalist, Glamour College Woman of the Year, and White House Champion of Change. Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in government and justice and peace studies from Georgetown University, with a minor in Jewish civilization. She has a rescue dog named Poppy.
